Journey of Singleness -- To Whom It May Concern, I'm Waiting Patiently

I have recently been listening to this duo called, The Civil Wars.
They are absolutely amazing together.
The sounds and voices that come from these two are wonderful.

I know that all may not like this style of music, but it is worth a listen, just to see what you might think.

This song is called, 'To Whom It May Concern.'

You can only guess what it is about, but it goes well with the journey of singleness.

Enjoy!

:-)

Why are you so far from me?
In my arms is where you ought to be.
How long will you make me wait?
I don't know how much more I can take.

I've missed you
But I haven't met you
Oh, but I want to
How I do

Slowly counting down the days
'Til I finally know your name
The way your hand feels 'round my waist
The way you laugh, the way your kisses taste

I've missed you
But I haven't met you
Oh, but I want to
How I do
How I do

I've missed you
But I haven't met you
Oh, how I miss you
But I haven't met you
Oh, but I want to
Oh, but I want to

Dear whoever you might be
I'm still waiting patiently

P.S. Clicking on "The Civil Wars" up top will take you to their official website where you can get a free download of their song, 'Barton Hollow'. Which is also another great song. :-)

Football, Concerts and Barn Dances to Infinity

Warning: This post contains MANY pictures! :-)

Last post, I said that the upcoming weekend was going to be a good one!
And it was!

First, not this past Friday, but the one before, I was able to see one of my favorite bands in concert.
I don't get to go to concerts very often, so whenever I have the opportunity, I will take it.

NEEDTOBREATHE was in Tuscaloosa the Friday before the Alabama/LSU football game.
Talk about an awesome start to a great weekend! My friends and I were about 7 rows back as well!
Ben Rector opened up for them and this was my first time seeing him.
He was really good and I loved listening to his music. I got to meet him afterwards as well!
:-)

Next, last Saturday we played against LSU.
Despite the outcome of the game, it was a good day.
Definitely one of the best games I have been to since being at Bama.
We fought hard.
I had a couple of friends come into town and they stayed at my apartment.
Which, I loved! It was so good to have people in the apartment!
I also got to see one of my friends that I worked beside in NOLA. I hadn't seen him since we left in August!

The Quad on LSU Saturday. There were people everywhere!
We had an estimated extra 240,000 people in town!

And this is 3 1/2 hours before kickoff!

Now, fast forward to this past week!
This past Friday we had our annual FBC/BCM Barn Dance!
It is one of my favorite events during the year and I'm glad that I was able to go this year.
This is my last Barn Dance, but it was a great one!
                                                                                :-)

It was her first Barn Dance!

Now for today.
Bama is playing away and that means that I didn't have to wake up early or be anywhere today.
It is always nice to have Saturdays like that.
I woke up and then stayed in my bed...for many hours....
I grabbed my computer and then had tabs open on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Hulu.
I would definitely classify it has a lazy Saturday.
But, I did complete another DIY project.
It is an Infinity Scarf, made out of an old t-shirt!
I found this project thanks again to Pinterest! It was super easy and I love the way it turned out!
Can't wait to wear it!

Now, I'm at my friend's apartment watching the Bama game!
Roll Tide!

Hope you enjoyed this post and all the many pictures!!

Journey of Singleness -- Free From Anxieties, Secure in the Lord

I know that I am not the only on this journey of singleness.
I have been here for quite some time and may continue to be on this road for quite awhile longer.

Maybe forever.

But, I know the desires of my heart and I know that my Father knows the desires of my heart.
There is a reason for this season.
One of them is for me to grow closer to Him, to keep searching, and to keep looking at the face of Christ.

My relationship with Him is the most important!

Upon this foundation everything else will be built, so it is there that I must start.

My Love awaits.

:-)

"I want you to be free from anxieties.
The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord.
But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided.
And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit.
But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband.
I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord."

Pumpkin Patch

This past Saturday, me and a couple of friends were able to go to a Pumpkin Patch!
I have never been to one, so it was tons of fun!

Since it was so close to Halloween, there weren't a lot of people there.
Which, I was happy about it. When I am around large crowds for too long, I start to get agitated.

The pumpkin patch was almost cleaned out of good pumpkins, but we were able to come away with some good ones.
The hayride was still tons of fun, the food was still yummy, and the day was beautiful!

Here are some pictures from that day!

Enjoy!

Me and Amber
I have recently gotten to know her better.
She is very cool. :-)

Indian Village.
Y'all know I am all about some Indians! :-)

Gorgeous Sunflowers!

Gotta get a picture of the yummy food!
BBQ, corn on the cob, and sweet tea.
Perfection!

I love this picture!
It was taken by my friend, Ryan, the guy in the  picture with me a few before.

Crafty, Crafty, Crafty!

I was very crafty over my Fall Break!
I made a couple of trips to Michael's, a trip to Target, and a trip to Home Depot.
I gathered my paint, scrapbook paper, felt, hot glue, and the mod podge.
I painted, cut, and glued.

I created!

Enjoy!!

:-)

Remember those empty canvases above me bed?

Here they are now!

One of my favorite things that I have made so far!
Coasters!
So much fun, simple, and can have any design you want on it!

This is my favorite so far!
Map hearts on canvas.
They are places that I have lived in or been able to serve in.
I hope to be able to add to this in the future. :-)
This is hanging in my kitchen!

Have you created anything lately or is there anything that you are hoping to create in the future?

Fall Is Here Once Again

I sit here writing this post from my comfy bed.
Under the covers, listening to Pandora, drinking coffee out of my NOLA cup.
A pretty good way to start a Saturday, don't you think?

I love Fall!
It seriously has to be my favorite season.
It usually comes with the perfect weather, just jeans and a t-shirt or light long sleeve shirt.
The past couple of days however, it has been COLD.
I walked out of my apartment seriously underestimating how cold it was.
Not only that, but it was overcast and dreary.
Not, good fall weather.

But today, on this Saturday, it is bright and blue outside!
Temperatures are rising today, but won't be that bad.
Best for jeans and a t-shirt.
I hope I find something fun to do outside, so it doesn't go to waste.
:-)

The past couple of days I have been on Fall Break from school.
For me, it started Tuesday night and has been going since.
I have thoroughly been enjoying this break. Although, I do still have an article to find by Monday and a mock interview and test on Thursday.
But, this coming week is going to be great for some other reasons and I will be sure to tell all about it...later!
:-)

Earlier this week, my friend and I went to Lake Nicol
It is one of my favorite places in Tuscaloosa, no doubt.
This time, we went to the other side where there are the cliffs.
The fall colors can greatly be seen there!
Here are some pics from that trip.

Enjoy!
