Football, Concerts and Barn Dances to Infinity

Warning: This post contains MANY pictures! :-)

Last post, I said that the upcoming weekend was going to be a good one!
And it was!

First, not this past Friday, but the one before, I was able to see one of my favorite bands in concert.
I don't get to go to concerts very often, so whenever I have the opportunity, I will take it.

NEEDTOBREATHE was in Tuscaloosa the Friday before the Alabama/LSU football game.
Talk about an awesome start to a great weekend! My friends and I were about 7 rows back as well!
Ben Rector opened up for them and this was my first time seeing him.
He was really good and I loved listening to his music. I got to meet him afterwards as well!

Next, last Saturday we played against LSU.
Despite the outcome of the game, it was a good day.
Definitely one of the best games I have been to since being at Bama.
We fought hard.
I had a couple of friends come into town and they stayed at my apartment.
Which, I loved! It was so good to have people in the apartment!
I also got to see one of my friends that I worked beside in NOLA. I hadn't seen him since we left in August!

The Quad on LSU Saturday. There were people everywhere!
We had an estimated extra 240,000 people in town!

Now, fast forward to this past week!
This past Friday we had our annual FBC/BCM Barn Dance!
It is one of my favorite events during the year and I'm glad that I was able to go this year.
This is my last Barn Dance, but it was a great one!

Now for today.
Bama is playing away and that means that I didn't have to wake up early or be anywhere today.
It is always nice to have Saturdays like that.
I woke up and then stayed in my bed...for many hours....
I grabbed my computer and then had tabs open on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and Hulu.
I would definitely classify it has a lazy Saturday.
But, I did complete another DIY project.
It is an Infinity Scarf, made out of an old t-shirt!
I found this project thanks again to Pinterest! It was super easy and I love the way it turned out!
Can't wait to wear it!

Now, I'm at my friend's apartment watching the Bama game!
Roll Tide!

Hope you enjoyed this post and all the many pictures!!

  1. Wow, this makes me miss college...although I went to a small private college so it was much different...I just miss the exccitement of there always being something fun going on! And I LOVE Needtobreathe. The only time I have seen them was the first time I had heard of them...they were playing at a local church's 4th of July event. They've moved up a bit since then :)

  2. Yes! They are amazing. This was my third time to get to see them. The first time I saw them for free and it was when they were first starting out. They came to Bama to play for an event we were having. I love seeing bands before they "make it big!" :-)
