Redletter Affair!

I am going to do a little promoting for my friends right now.

Ryan, Andy, Brian, and Josh all make up a band called by the name Redletter Affair! They are really getting started right now, but already have many fans because of our college ministry at First Baptist Tuscaloosa. They have a new song out right now called "By Your Side". You can check it out at their MySpace page, here.

Also, tonight they are playing at their first show at H2O at Prattmont Baptist Church in Prattville, Alabama. You can learn more about that event, here, or here. If you are in Alabama, or near this event, you should come and check it out. I have a feeling that it is going to be huge. Which is where a lot of you come in, especially if you are not in the Alabama area.

You can pray. Prayer is a wonderful thing, and can make huge impacts! If you are not able to make it tonight, please pray for Redletter Affair and all the people that will be at H2O. Pray that people's hearts will be receptive of God's Word and His love for them. Pray that the band, and all of us following them down there, will have a safe and fun trip. Most importantly though, just pray that someone will come to know the Lord tonight as His story is brought. Pray for the speaker that he will be able to speak the words that the Lord gives to him. Pray that they will have a record turn out at H2O tonight, and that people's lives will be changed drastically for the better, forever. Prayer is a great thing, and God really listens to those who pray in His name.

I hope that you check out the band, and if you are in the area, that you come out and support the band and what Prattmont Baptist Church is doing. We all really appreciate it, and we all do this for the Lord. Thanks!

Sweet Memories!

I might get hurt for putting some of these up here, but it wouldn't be the first time.
Pictures are truly worth a thousand words, and so are the memories that go with these pictures.

Blessed Assurance

Tonight I read Romans 6, and it has got to be one of my favorites. It continously shows me the love and assurance of God. It reminded me that each day I should die to sin, and be born again in God's love and mercy, something that I totally do not deserve. God is just so amazing, and everyday He shows us that. Do not miss it. He gave His life for me, us, so that we could live. I take that for granted. Do not follow in my example of doing that.

This is my first 'real' blog site. I have always been way better with written words than I have been with spoken words. It is just easier for me. Bear with me, I do not know how many people may actually start to read this, but that is okay. Maybe one day it will actually speak to somebody. If not, at least I can now comment on my amazing sister's blog! :-)

It is getting very late, and I do not know how long this blogging thing will last, but right now I am going to bed. I have another day of classes before I can go home again. For only like the second time this semester. I am excited, I love going home. It is an amazing place filled with lots of love. Interesting fact: I just realized how many times I called something amazing in this one post. It is just a fantastic word that can describe many, many, many wonderful things.

And remember: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." -- Proverbs 3:5-6
